BBQ Baked Chicken

This is such an easy and delicious way to cook chicken! It always comes out perfect. I definitely recommend using a meat thermometer. It helps you make sure the food is cooked exactly how you want it and helps you not overcook things!

Being a busy mom I can totally relate with losing track of time and leaving food in too long! It happens to the best of us but with the meat thermometer it helps prevent this from happening!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb chicken breast
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • fresh thyme

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 ̊. Heat pan. Then add 1 tbsp of avocado oil.
  • Season both sides of chicken generously with salt.
  • Place in pan, away from you and skin side down (if it has the skin on) After about 3 minutes turn the chicken over.
  • Add in 4 crushed garlic cloves and Fresh Thyme. After another 3 minutes turn the chicken back over to original side.
  • Add In butter and once melted spoon over the chicken to baste.
  • Put in oven
  • Cook until internal temp is 165 ̊ it should be like 15-20 minutes depending on the thickness of the chicken breast.
  • Drizzle BBQ sauce on top of chicken.
